Our Cellar Door hosts will take you through a tasting experience of fine wines from our estate vineyards in Hawke's Bay, and share the wine making and story of Elephant Hill. Tastings are served seated on our front deck, sunken lounge or main tasting room, all with beautiful views of the Pacific coastline, vineyards and Cape Kidnappers. Select from a tasting of our Estate, Reserve, Icon wines or a special wine and food experience ‘Flight & Bites’ which pairs exquisite appetisers with the perfect wine. An Artisan platter of cheese and charcuterie is also available.

Our spacious, light-filled restaurant welcomes you to relax and enjoy exquisite food and wines surrounded by some of the best restaurant views in all of Hawke's Bay. Our food is balanced, fresh and seasonal, honouring many local artisan suppliers. Lunch al fresco on the deck or inside the stylish modern dining room and select from the new lunch menu, offering a range of options from a light bite and a glass of wine, to a three course lunch.

Seasonal and local with a strong focus on the perfect flavour pairings. Great wine with a purest food approach. Open three evenings per week, our restaurant offers a gastronomic dining experience with 3,4 and 5 course tasting menus and wine matches.

Nearly twenty years ago, my parents Reydan and the late Roger, fell in love with New Zealand and a piece of land on the beautiful coast of Te Awanga. Back then, it was merely a plot of bare land, quite an untidy deer farm that had been abandoned to the elements for decades.
Their vision for the land was simple: To create a world-class winery, restaurant and owners’ lodge of exceptional technical and artistic calibre, amidst the vines. The grapes would be the source of the best wines that Hawke’s Bay could produce, handcrafted and genuine.
By making the lodge available to select guests, I hope you experience the same fascination for this unique location and treasure in Hawke´s Bay as my parents have.
